Valleywise Health is a network of taxpayer-funded hospitals and medical facilities in Maricopa County, Arizona. Valleywise Health is the Phoenix area’s only public teaching health system. We are governed by a publicly elected Board of Directors focused on exceptional care for all who turn to Valleywise Health. Valleywise Health was established in 1877 as a place to care for the sick in the rapidly-growing area of Maricopa County. Since then, we’ve continued to provide exceptional care to the people of Arizona.
