Job Summary and Responsibilities
Obtains moderately complex financial information regarding patients from various sources to obtain payment
plan agreements and Medicare coverage.
- Interviews customers for data retrieval
- Abstracts medical information necessary from the mother's and baby's chart for completion of the birth
certificate form - Retains and understands federal, state, and county regulations as it pertains to birth registry
- Completes Paternity Acknowledgements submitted to the state
- Locates and orders medical charts when necessary
- Reports Immunizations via EBC program
Job Requirements
Required
High School Graduate/GED
Six months of customer serviceexperience in finance, physician office or clinic, insurance, banking, etc
Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
High School GED
One year relevant experience in hospital environment
