| Position Highlights | The W.A. Franke Honors College in partnership with The Office of General Education is currently seeking to fill two positions for Assistant Professor of Practice (Career-Track). The primary teaching assignments for these positions will be UNIV 101 (Introduction to the General Education Experience) and UNIV 301 (General Education ePortfolio), two one-unit courses that bookend the General Education program for students at the University of Arizona. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Assistant Professors of Practice will provide support for a team of instructors also teaching UNIV 101 and UNIV 301 on a part-time basis and will work with the full-time instructional team and Course Director to update the curriculum for the two pre-designed courses. This is a nine-month academic appointment with the potential for summer teaching or administrative appointments. Start date will be August 3, 2026 with a short-term contract prior to the Fall 2026 Academic Semester beginning. Additional compensation will be provided during this short term appointment. These positions are housed in the W.A. Franke Honors College and will report to The Office of General Education. This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.
